There was some rain yesterday but let's quickly forget that and be happy that it has been snowing again!
Not much - there is just a thin light dusting around town areas - but I expect there will be a fair bit more than that higher up on the open resort areas. (No word from Kagura just yet).
It's a real bonus for this time of the year.
Just 30 minutes ago the Route 17 / Yuzawa IC webcam image (below) was showing that thin white covering on the road, but that has pretty much gone already now.
We are forecast a day of cloudy conditions today with any lingering light snow drying up this morning and perhaps more of the same tomorrow too, with temps rising to around 6C during the daytime.

GALA Yuzawa
- Official snow depth: 240cm
- The Central Area and part of the Northern Area of GALA Yuzawa remain open
- The downhill Falcon course is now closed for the season - take the Gondola down
- GALA Yuzawa plans to be open until Monday 6th May
Kagura
- Official snow depth: 260cm (Kagura); 230cm (Tashiro); 200cm (Mitsumata)
- Kagura remains almost fully open
- Tashiro Ropeway plans to be open until Monday 6th May
- Kagura via Mitsumata Ropeway plans to be open until Sunday 26th May
Kandatsu Kogen
- Official snow depth: 170cm
- Kandatsu remains part open
- Kandatsu Kogen plans to be open until Sunday 21st April
