Good morning from Yuzawa.
As expected yesterday was a very warm and fine day.
Today is starting off with sunshine, lots of blue sky and just some cloud. It won't be quite as warm as yesterday but still probably get to just over 20C down in town.
We are still forecast some rain later this afternoon (with clearer settled weather forecast again from tomorrow).
Today is also of course the last day of the ski season at GALA Yuzawa and the Tashiro Area of Kagura resort.
From tomorrow, it's just the main Kagura area - via Mitsumata - that will be open. Mitsumata Ropeway will be open from 8:00am.

Planned ski resort operations (weather permitting):
GALA Yuzawa
- Official snow depth: 70cm
- All courses in the Central Area remain open
- Broadway, Swan and Super Broadway in the Northern Area remain open
- Gondola, Barouche quad, Phaeton pair, Coach pair and Victoria quad lifts are operating
- The downhill Falcon course is closed for the season - take the Gondola back down to base
- Today is the last day of the ski season at GALA Yuzawa
Kagura
- Official snow depth: 180cm (Kagura); 150cm (Tashiro); 120cm (Mitsumata)
- Kagura remains almost fully open
- The downhill course to base at Mitsumata is closed
- Today is the last day of the season for the Tashiro Area of Kagura
- Kagura (via Mitsumata Ropeway) plans to be open until Sunday 26th May
