New snowfall at base 32cm
Snowfall at base this seas 273cm

Posted on Tuesday 6th January 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.

There was a bit of 'oh no, rain' feeling going on, but this morning the outlook is much better so we can put that to one side.

This morning there was a very respectable 32cm of fresh snow on our trusty measuring point as if 8am. It is still snowing and so there will should be more to report tomorrow morning, but it might not last the day with less forecast this afternoon.

We might get some sunshine tomorrow but there's more snow coming in on Thursday.

Sounds good. Bring it on!

Wind might be a problem today and indeed the Tashiro Area of Kagura is closed, so the Dragondola between Tashiro and Naeba is also closed. Other lifts may be affected.
