Yesterday was a beautiful day in the region but this morning the clouds are back and it's raining in town and actually feels fairly mild. Snow up at Kagura. Hopefully it won't last too long and soon be sleet and then snow, though the snow around town had pretty much all gone anyway so it's not really the rain doing the damage. As long as it's snowing up top where they have their snow base.

This coming weekend is now looking likely to be the first considerable snowfall of the season down to town level with heavy snow likely on Saturday and Sunday along with strong winds. We're still a number of days off, of course, but that's how the forecast is at the moment.
