All change early on this morning in Yuzawa.
Some cloud over Yuzawa still but just to the north in Minamiuonuma clear skies have started to open up after the snowfall of yesterday and the sun is shining down. Everywhere is looking nice and white as well around town. Snow is still thin on the ground at town level but this morning we have the most we have had so far. There was the usual mad rush for changing tyres to snow tyres at the gasoline stands around town yesterday.
This morning Kagura are reporting 20-25cm of fresh snowfall since yesterday and so people will definitely be able to enjoy their time up there this morning.
We're probably not going to see it last though with decent conditions today and sun and warmer temperatures forecast for tomorrow along with some rain around Tuesday. It's looking good for some consistent snowfall higher up from Tuesday.
