Independent snow and weather reporting from the Yuzawa & Minamiuonuma region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this seas 1cm
Posted on Saturday 3rd December 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.
We got the first snow of the season falling in town yesterday. It didn't last long and in many places it didn't stick for long, but there was a thin layer of snow in places around town. Just slightly above Yuzawa town centre at NASPA Ski Garden there was a few cm of snow on the ground. I think the report just about deserves to commemorate that snow with 1cm in todays report.
There's no word from Kagura yet this morning. [11am update: they have announced there will be no opening tomorrow (Sunday)].
Today we have blue skies and bright sunshine and it will be a fairly mild day.
