New snowfall at base 22cm
Snowfall at base this seas 274cm

Posted on Wednesday 29th December 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.

The sun is out!

Yes, after snow clouds doing their thing for a few days, the skies are clearer this morning and it's a beautiful start to the day.

22cm of new snowfall was measured (for our report) by yesterday evening... just a dusting since then. Kagura are reporting 10cm. Maiko reporting 2cm. Curiously, Yuzawa Nakazato are reporting 20cm (which is the same as us!). Different ski areas, different timings, different thinking... Whatever, it's a beautiful morning and conditions should be great. All ski areas close to or fully open.

More snow is on the way for tomorrow and Friday in particular. We might get another huge amount.
