Good morning from Yuzawa.
There was a mix of strange weather going on yesterday. One minute it was snowing, the next suddenly some blue skies and sunshine. And then back to some light snow again, though not the kind of snowfall where the cms quickly pile up. By the mid afternoon roads were clear and kind of dry.
This morning we start with mostly cloudy skies but there's some blue sky around. It's a cold start but it will warm up to around +2C later on.
For those visiting over the weekend, the forecasts for tomorrow are a sunny start to the day and mild temperatures. It might even get to be as warm as 6-7C in town in the afternoon. On Sunday there might be some precipitation at times - and it may turn out to be rain. Hopefully not, of course.
There's some milder weather due next week as well.
For the moment the Southern Area of GALA Yuzawa remains closed due to all the snow over there and the top Number 5 pair lift at Kagura is closed.
