Cloudy (and some limited visibility in places) yesterday - in the town region, anyway - with some spots of rain in the evening.


This morning it is cloudy but dry.


Sunny skies are still forecast for tomorrow and Sunday. It's likely to be mild, but not too warm/hot.


Both GALA and the Tashiro Ropeway section of Kagura plan to be open until 6th May, the last day of 'Golden Week'. The Mitsumata Ropeway plans to continue on until Sunday 18th May.

GALA Yuzawa

Official snow depth: 90cm

The Gondola and two lifts are operating (Diligence gondola, Barouche quad and Victoria quad)

Three courses in the Central Area are open (Entertainment, Edelweiss and Gigi)

Four courses in the Northern Area are open (Broadway, Super Broadway, Swan and Super Swan)

The Snow Enjoyment Park and Quest Snow Park are open

The Southern Area, top Grenoble course and Falcon downhill course are now closed for the season

Spring season operating times are 8:00am until 4:00pm

Planned closing date: Tuesday 6th May 2025

Kagura

Official snow depth: 350cm (top) / 260cm (base)

Both bases (Mitsumata Ropeway and Tashiro Ropeway) are open

All sections of Kagura should be open with 25 of 30 runs available and 12 lifts operating

The top Number 5 lift at Kagura is now closed

The Dragondola lift connection between Tashiro and Naeba ski area is also closed for the season

The Ropeways are both open from 8:00am until 4:30pm (last one up at 3:00pm)

Planned closing date (Tashiro Ropeway): Tuesday 6th May 2025

Planned closing date (Kagura via Mitsumata Ropeway): Sunday 18th May 2025
