Yesterday was bright with an overcast hazy thin cloud kind of feel going on. It got as warm as 12.5C in town in the afternoon. We can probably expect similar today and indeed it feels rather warm now as of 10am.
This morning started of mostly cloudy but the clouds have largely gone and we have sunny blue skies now.
Cloud is expected later on, though, along with some rain, but we should be back to fine and sunny by tomorrow.
Less than a week left for a bunch of ski areas in the region. Ski areas around town are now largely in 'part open' status as the snow retreats, but it is impressive that there haven't been a rush of early closings. They have done well to last this long.
Snow cover higher up still remains good, and there's some pretty decent (spring) snow conditions too --- especially in the mornings.
The lift connections between Yuzawa Kogen and Gala Yuzawa and Ishiuchi Maruyama are indeed all now closed for the season, though those ski areas all still remain open.
