New snowfall at base 30cm
Snowfall at base this season 403cm
Posted on Thursday 23rd January 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.
It was snowing for most of yesterday and it is snowing this morning in Yuzawa. Kagura is reporting up to 30cm of fresh and I can personally vouch for close to that amount that I had to move off the car since yesterday morning.
The snow is due to stop around lunchtime today though leaving us with just cloud. Perhaps even some sun.
Tomorrow is when it starts to warm up. The forecast is for a clear, sunny day from early on and a high temperature of +5C in the afternoon. Saturday should continue being mild and there's a chance of rain but if we're lucky that will turn into snow before long. We're hoping that the milder conditions will only last a few days and we can get back to cold early in the week.
Today though snow conditions should be great, and then tomorrow remember the camera.
