After some rather odd weather through Niigata Prefecture yesterday - ranging from thunder and lightning, snow, wind, sleet, rain (*not in Yuzawa)... and a bit of sun - it is much more settled in the region this morning.
There's a few more cm to add since my last report, but none overnight in town. (Kagura appear to be reporting 2cm of fresh snowfall).
There's lovely clear blue skies over Yuzawa and bright sunshine - a real feel-good morning. A bit more cloud is hanging in the skies to the north of Yuzawa and snow is actually forecast to be falling later on during the day. While it doesn't feel like it right now, we know how quickly things can change...
The snowfall is due to continue through tomorrow and at least Tuesday as well so hopefully we'll get another decent amount over the next few days.
Nice deliveries of fresh snow are always welcome.
