Yesterday it was snowing on and off for a fair part of the day, though it wasn't the same kind of snowfall as it had been - less intense and just 4cm to report from it, plus a slight dusting overnight.
This morning there was quite a lot of cloud around early on but it seems to be clearing up with increasing blue skies and the sun has appeared. It should be a fine day with milder temperatures. It might get up to around +5C in town today and tomorrow. By Friday we should be back to snow.
It will be interesting to see how ski areas open up this week.
There is still not confirmation yet on when the Tashiro Area of Kagura will open.
Iwappara and NASPA Ski Garden are due to start their season from Thursday and then most of the others on Friday or Saturday.
Mt Granview are still saying 'the end of the year' so it is unclear exactly when we'll be treated to their hallowed slopes. (They like a bit of mystery).
