Independent snow and weather reporting from the Yuzawa & Minamiuonuma region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 0cm
Posted on Friday 20th November 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.
Not the nicest of weather conditions in the region the last few days, with drizzle falling today even though rain wasn't really featured on the forecasts.
Anyway, no snow yet but that isn't stopping Mitsumata opening tomorrow with it's 'snow mats'. The official stats say it's a 1100m long course with a width of 25-50m and including 30 'moguls' over 120m. A 1 day ticket will cost 3500 yen for adults and 2900 yen for children over 12 years old.
Looking ahead over the next week there isn't much sign of imminent snow I'm afraid - more a mix of sun, cloud and rain through the week.
Next update coming next week.
