Good morning from Yuzawa.
Yesterday it did continue snowing for a large part of the day, perhaps more than expected, though for most of the time it was the kind of light that didn't really result in cm sticking.
This morning we have clear blue skies and sunshine. It's a beauty. Cold early morning, too.
Forecasts remain pretty much the same. Clear skies and sunshine and unseasonably warm temps across the weekend (and particularly warm on Sunday).
I have spoken with a few ski area manage types over the last few days. They are all thinking along the lines of 'really, is that it?', wondering if there is any more winter left. All are very much hoping there is, of course, as am I.
Anyway, it is a really beautiful morning and with that bit of snow yesterday, it should be a fun morning. Best make the most of it.
(Kagura are reporting a fresh snowfall number this morning - 5cm since yesterday. Hey, why not do that every morning!?)
