More good news.
Naeba and Joetsu Kokusai are both part open from this morning.
From tomorrow, all of the ski areas that planned to be open this weekend are going to be able to be part open (the only unconfirmed exception being Nakazato Snow Wood).
So that means that from tomorrow, Yuzawa Kogen, Kandatsu, Yuzawa Nakazato, Maiko Snow Resort and Ishiuchi Maruyama should be joining Kagura, Naeba and Joetsu Kokusai in being open.

Good morning from Yuzawa.
Now this is more like it!
It was raining until last night but overnight that changed into snow and this morning there's over 30cm of snow on the ground. It's just a start but always exciting to see the snow on the ground. More please.
Lots of things happening this morning. As far as we can tell at the time of writing, it will still just be Kagura that is open today. Unfortunately we can't seem to get their information up this morning at the time of writing but I would expect they had a whole lot of snow up there overnight.
Tashiro were planning to open today but due to weather conditions they have delayed that until tomorrow.
GALA Yuzawa has announced that it will be opening from tomorrow (Sunday). Other ski areas that wanted to be open this weekend are on standby and assessing the situation.
There will probably be other news later on today. So we will update this report this evening with any further information we find.
