Beautiful clear blue skies this morning.
Yesterday that light snow did continue (rain to the north) but it didn't amount to much in terms of cm. There was no news of cm from Kagura yesterday, but this morning they are reporting 10cm of fresh snow 'since yesterday'. There was enough snow for them to re-open the Mitsumata area so there is 6,500m of runs now open at Kagura.
Decent snow as we get into the weekend? That snow yesterday didn't turn out to be much at all, but decent snow at the weekend might well be happening!
A whole bunch of ski areas were hoping to be open from this coming weekend as you can see in the list below. They will all be getting ready to open up just as soon as there is enough snow.
