The sun was out for pretty much all of yesterday and it turned out to be a lovely day.
We haven't escaped the rain though, as it has been raining since early morning in Yuzawa. It does seem to be trying to snow so looks like sleet coming down at times and indeed higher up the mountains it is snowing a wet kind of snow. But the best we can hope for here now is damage limitation I think and that it eases off quickly.
It is a mild 4C in the town at the moment.
Tomorrow the sun should be out and clearer skies though it will probably stay quite warm. Wednesday seems to be when we can expect it to get colder again and while we might see dustings of snow, there is no major snowfall on the horizon through until Friday as the forecast stands.
