Independent snow and weather reporting from the Yuzawa & Minamiuonuma region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 13cm
Snowfall at base this seas 93cm

Posted on Sunday 15th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.

What a lovely morning it is! For the moment, we have a beautiful mix of blue sky, sunshine and some cloud.

And with another modest amount of snow since yesterday morning (most during the day with just a little more overnight), everywhere is looking bright and white.

(Your reporter is sitting here posting this report whilst dreaming of the first tracks that are on offer this morning.)

The clearer skies might not last much longer and there is already more cloud to the north of Yuzawa.

Snow is forecast for later in the day (tonight?) and during the day tomorrow.
