Posted on Monday 14th April 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Yuzawa Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Yuzawa.
I'm not sure how windy it was yesterday, but the wind was certainly noisy at times.
This morning is starting off wet and rainy but it shouldn't be lasting too long and we are due some clearer skies and sun later on in the day.
From today just two ski areas in Yuzawa remain open - GALA Yuzawa and Kagura.
At GALA, there are four lifts operating (like on weekdays last week), but the Falcon downhill course is now closed. (They did well keeping that open for as long as they did).
At Kagura, 12 lifts are operating. The top Number 5 pair is now closed, but the Number 1 pair is open.
There's a typo on the official Kagura site at the time of putting this report together that says the temperature is 30C. It will get that hot soon enough in the coming months, but thankfully it is not that hot today! I'm guessing it meant to say 3C.
