Good morning from Shiga Kogen.
Did you have a good 'Golden Week'?
Yesterday was of course the last day of the ski season for several areas of Shiga Kogen and from today, only parts of the Okushiga Kogen, Kumanoyu and Yokoteyama/Shibutoge areas of Shiga Kogen remain open.
Still very decent spring snow left over to play in on the open slopes. We have done very well this season.
This is going to be my last regular reports of the season. I will try to post an update each week now until the ski lifts close.
What a very season it has been for Shiga Kogen. We have enjoyed some very respectable and regular snowfall this time round and I encourage you to look back through my archive reports for the season as well as the ‘Snowfall Analysis’ page to relive it all. There are tales of large amounts of snowfall that are truly exciting to read. ;)
