Good morning from a very cold Shiga Kogen.
We have had lots of lovely light fine powder snow since yesterday.
(Very) early morning Yakebitaiyama was reporting 25cm but there will have been a fair bit more than that since then.
I'd say this morning generally there is 30+cm, and there is definitely be more than that in places. (A friend mentioned up to 50cm).
Like yesterday there is a chance of periods of snow easing off and brighter skies during the day, but generally the snow clouds are due to be with us for another 3-4 days; and heavy snow at times.
A few of the official snow depth numbers have nudged up, but in generally I think they are pretty meaningless. Nishdateyama @ 50cm!? Really?
