Morning from Shiga Kogen.
Very heavy snowfall over the last day or so and it is still snowing.
There's never going to be an agreement from 10 people on how much so I'll start off by saying that Kumanoyu reported 50cm and Yakebitaiyama are being shy about a number which usually translates as 'a lot - don't be scared please'!
Just, a lot, and my main measurement is 55cm. There's more than that in places, probably up to around 80cm. Great quality snow too.
I think the ski areas are all too busy to update their snow depth numbers, but that is perhaps understandable at times like this.
Tomorrow should see the weather being calmer and clearer. Weekend visitors will probably be jealous of anyone sticking around to enjoy Monday.
