Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 47cm
Snowfall at base this season 427cm

I had to shovel my way out this morning.

Heavy snowfall alert.

It isn't actually snowing as hard now - though still coming down at a good pace - and I had close on 50cm of new snow to move earlier. There's still a wind blowing it all around as well, so it feels pretty stormy.

I have to get back out there... snow should ease off by tomorrow.

Ignore Sun Valley having an official snow depth of 70cm. That just has to be silly! ;)
