Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 550cm

Posted on Monday 3rd March 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.

Snow was falling earlier this morning but it stopped around 9am and there's actually a bit of blue sky opening up, though cloud/light snow is on the forecast for today so it could be on and off for the day. We do have 5cm or so of fresh snow to report which should improve on the weekend conditions.

Current forecast is for clearer skies tomorrow and then back to snow falling from the skies on Wednesday.

The snow has not given up yet!
