Good morning from Shiga Kogen.
Light snow is falling and it is fairly calm... for now. Just a bit of snow on the ground. But more stormy-like conditions are forecast over the next few days and the heavy snow we are all waiting for should be with us.
Personally I can't wait to get deep into some powder conditions as I haven't had that feeling yet this season. It is about time. So yes, look for some good snowfall numbers in the next few reports. I look forward to being able to bring smiles to faces!
Ski hill operations around Shiga Kogen remain limited. I notice that Ichinose Family are saying that from today all of their courses are open. So they are trying to get as much out of the current snow we have as possible. If we get a few days of heavy snowfall - that will change. Quickly. :)
