Mild start to the day here in Shiga Kogen, but snow is falling... we're avoiding the rain that is falling at down in the valley. Not the best snow ever, some 'moisture' going on there, but I'll take it over rain any day.
Cloud covering lots of the mountains so generally quite limited visibility this morning.
There's a bit of wind blowing as well and it probably feels a bit colder than it actually is.
Snow is expected to continue falling today through into tomorrow morning.
Weekend visitors might be happy to hear that the forecast for Saturday and Sunday is currently fine and sunny. Should be a good one especially if we can get a decent amount of snow in the next 24 hours.
