Ou-yuki!

Heavy snow this morning to report with a very nice cold new layer of fluffy dry snow on the ground and across the mountains.

Swirling winds are affecting some lifts around the Shiga Kogen resorts and I suppose it's unfortunately for lots of visitors that it is over the weekend, but the good refresh is most welcome.

The wind is making it difficult to put a number on the snow but some resorts adding up to 30cm.

Snow should ease today and by Tuesday we're expecting some clearer skies.
