Hello from Shiga Kogen.
Things are much calmer this morning. Calming down since the afternoon yesterday. We have been left with some really nice snow and a good cover across the mountains too. While Shiga Kogen is still quite a way from being fully open, more is opening up now. Basically Okushiga Kogen along with Yokoteyama/Kumanoyu (both extreme points of the area) are almost all open with the Yakebitaiyama-Ichinose area part open. Still a few parts in the central area yet to open but they should be going by Christmas. As everyone knows, of course, Santa likes to ski all of Shiga Kogen on Christmas Day.
We are actually due more snow later today but perhaps some sun beyond that with more snow around Wednesday.
Sun is great, but regular snow please. And low temps!
