Good morning from Shiga Kogen.
OK so what do we have this morning. We have some fresh snow! Yes, it's true. And not just a slight dusting either. Even 10cm in places and perhaps even a little more. It started as temperatures dropped in the afternoon yesterday.
The Kumanoyu and Yakebitaiyama ski areas are both reporting 5cm.
Over the next few days at least we can expect lots of sunshine and nice spring weather conditions.
Planned Shiga Kogen ski area operations:
IMPORTANT: SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Takamagahara Mammoth:
Quad lift open 24th, 25th April and 29th April until 5th May
Ichinose Family:
Number 2 pair open weekends until 5th May
Ichinose quad open daily until 5th May
Terakoya:
24th, 25th April and 29th April until 5th May
Yakebitaiyama:
Yakebitaiyama Number 2 Gondola open until 5th May (but closed on 21st, 22nd April)
Yakebitaiyama Number 4 romance lift open when the gondola is closed
Okushiga Kogen:
Number 4 and 6 pairs open until 5th May (except 19th-23rd April)
Number 2 and 3 pair and gondola open daily until 5th May
Kumanoyu:
Number 1 pair until 5th May
Number 3 quad 24th, 25th April and 29th April until 6th May
Number 2 pair A line until 16th May
Yokoteyama & Shibutoge
Possibly until early June!
