Hello from Shiga Kogen.


The sun is out and the start to the season is looking bright too, with Kumanoyu announcing that it will indeed be part open from tomorrow. That area plans to have the Number 2 pair lift operating with a 30-50m wide, 600m long ski course open. The snow isn't deep yet but enough for that start.


And it looks like there should be snowfall over the weekend too.

The section of the Route 292 road that connects Shiga Kogen with Gunma Prefecture is now closed for the winter season. It is scheduled to re-open from 10:00am on 20th April 2018. The road connecting Okushiga Kogen with Nozawa Onsen is also closed for the winter season.
