Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 570cm

Posted on Monday 17th January 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.

Morning from Shiga Kogen. The snow is back and it's falling at a fair pace just now after just lighter snow earlier.

Kumanoyu are not reporting any snowfall from this morning but that is probably because their report was at 7am. It is falling more now. Wonder if it will continue. We're being told it will, especially overnight tonight. Potential heavy snow. Sounds good that.

For the moment, generally limited visibility and relatively mild conditions with a north westerly wind. All lifts should be opening as scheduled.
