I was reporting some modest numbers in the last few reports and mentioning that we weren't perhaps getting as much as other areas.
That changes this morning as we have had some heavy snowfall since my last report. It feels really cold out there too.
Yakebitaiyama are reporting 50cm of fresh. Kumanoyu are reporting 60cm of fresh snowfall (with an official snow depth of... 60cm).
I can report 38cm, though there is definitely more than that on the ground in places. I was just over at Okushiga Kogen and it really is coming down over there.
As always official snow depths are being, er, conservative even after considering grooming etc... so just look and quickly move on (is my suggestion).
I am expecting more of Shiga Kogen to become open from the weekend.
