Hello from Shiga Kogen on a mild spring morning.
Some of the still-open (or weekend only open) runs are starting to show a few bare patches. The teams involved in patching them up will be busy today/tonight to make them as pleasing as possible for the weekend.
Some ski areas around Japan that planned to be open until 6th May have already announced early closing (due to lack of snow). I'm guessing there is a chance we might also have some upcoming adjustments, but there's no word yet. And it'll depend on temps over the coming days and weeks.
Fair weather is forecast across the weekend and Monday, too.
