Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 100cm

Posted on Monday 16th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.

Not much of a wind and snow falling early this morning. It is cloudy but quite bright, and it feels like the sun might even break through in places.

Yakebitaiyama reporting 5cm of snow early morning so it's probably a bit more than that over there by now.

Perhaps some sun tomorrow?

More snow is due at times before the weekend, though, so hopefully more of Shiga Kogen will be open at the weekend. For now, we are still with the six areas part open.
