Good morning from Shiga Kogen.
Snow is falling. And such lovely light snow too... being blown around by the wind, though not as windy as yesterday. So it makes it difficult again to measure with more and less in areas depending on where you are. The resorts themselves are reporting 10-15cm of fresh snowfall on the slopes, and I am measuring 14cm for my report. I suspect it is more than that.
We need much more to get going big-scale of course as things remain rather limited, but there are some more lifts opening this morning.
We probably can't expect much snow from now today (even though it is snowing nicely as I write this), and there looks to be a chance of sun tomorrow with the next decent snowfall due early in the week.
For now though, the snow we have is nice and I'm going to go ride it!

Ichinose Family
- Official snow depth: 30cm
- A 600m stretch of course is open
- Ichinose Number 2 pair lift A / B
Kumanoyu
- Official snow depth: 30cm
- A 1,300m course area is open
- The Number 2 pair lift is operating
Takamagahara Mammoth
- Official snow depth: 25cm
- The lower part of the main course is open, 300m in length
- The Takamagahara Number 2 triple lift is operating
Yakebitaiyama
- Official snow depth: 40cm
- 960m long South Course
- 850m long Karamatsu Course
- Number 2 high speed lift
- Number 4 romance lift
Yokoteyama
- Official snow depth: 15cm
- Part of the Yokoteyama Number 1 and Yokoteyama Queen Number 5 courses
- Yokoteyama Number 1 Sky B lift
- Yokoteyama Number 5 lift
