Independent snow and weather reporting from the Shiga Kogen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 224cm

Posted on Tuesday 14th January 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here.

It is a very cold morning in Shiga Kogen, down to minus double digits here in the central Maruike area. Light snow falling but not much in terms of new accumulation since yesterday. Visibility is pretty good out there this morning and it even looks like we might get to see some sun. Or maybe not, as the clouds thicken again.

Tomorrow is forecast to be a day of good clear weather conditions. One for the camera if it turns out that way. Hopefully will keep cold.
