Good morning from Shiga Kogen.
We have another dusting of snow, a few cm around base areas.
Yokoteyama Ski Area and Kumanoyu Ski Area both have plans to open this coming weekend, Saturday 15th November, but I don't have any confirmed news to convey to you just now.
It does look like clearer skies are due tomorrow through the weekend, so there will be a reliance on snow making machines.
The section of road (Route 292) connecting Shiga Kogen with Kusatsu in Gunma Prefecture will be officially closed for the winter season from tomorrow.
Oh yes, one more thing. Shiga Kogen has jointed the Ikon Pass from this season.
