Morning from Nozawa.
Happy to report some decent snowfall during the day yesterday. The resort was reporting up to 20cm on the top Yamabiko area by late afternoon with an additional 10cm since then, so a nice round 30cm of fresh snow on the upper mountain and 20+cm down below.
It is a cloudy Saturday morning and keeping good and cold. Down at around -4C now and won't be budging much above that during the day.
Snow forecast for this morning in the Tokyo region - I wonder if that might affect people planning to come up to the mountains for the weekend. Monday is a national holiday in Japan, so it's a long weekend and usually a very busy one.
More snow due tonight which should be make for a very good early morning tomorrow too.
Have a fun weekend wherever you are.
