I had to do some walking last night... it sure was cold out there! Icy too.
There has been some snow overnight, just a dusting-plus really. The ski area is reporting snow falling on upper areas and it will probably be snowing down here too soon. Large amounts are not expected and tomorrow morning the sun will probably be out and being all genki.
Fresh snowfall recorded by the ski area (total since yesterday morning):
- Yamabiko (1615m): 9cm
- Uenotaira (1407m): 7cm
- Hikage (660m): 3cm
- Nagasaka (616m): 3cm
- Karasawa (563m): 3cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
- Yamabiko (1615m): 255cm
- Uenotaira (1407m): 210cm
- Hikage (660m): 165cm
- Nagasaka (616m): 165cm
- Karasawa (563m): 135cm
All courses apart from the following plan to be open:
- Yunomine A
- Mizunashi A
- Kamoshika
Planned operating lifts:
- Subject to weather conditions all lifts should be open.
- The Utopia and Challenge pair lifts are normally rested on weekdays.
- The top Yamabiko A-D courses close at 3:20pm until 27th March (at 3:10pm after that).
- Skyline course closes at 4:10pm.
- The Nagasaka quad lift is open for night skiing 8th-9th Jan, 11th-12th Feb (subject to change).
