Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 6cm
Snowfall at base this season 42cm
Posted on Saturday 6th December 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
It's a fine start to the weekend with some low cloud hanging over the lower parts of the mountain, but there are much clearer skies up top.
Limited amounts of fresh snow since yesterday morning but the ski area appears to be reporting 12cm on the upper Yamabiko area.
It should be a very fine day to be skiing or snowboarding. (Tomorrow too).
We might get some fresh on the mountain later on Monday and then later in the week.
Promising start. Anyway, I've got places to go!
