Morning from Nozawa.

Just checking the calendar and reminding myself that it is actually April. It sure doesn't feel like it!

Yesterday afternoon, the resort was reporting 5cm of snow since the morning on the upper slopes. This morning, they are reporting a whopping 35cm and the official snow depths are rising... up to 335cm on the top Yamabiko area. There's a decent amount down to base too.

Excellent. What more can I say. Need. To. Get. Out...

Limited visibility, but I am expecting some very mid-season like conditions on the mountain this morning.

It looks like there will be some sunshine tomorrow morning and milder temperatures.
