New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 15cm

Posted on Saturday 29th November 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Nozawa. It's the first day of the ski season.

While we might not have any snow on the ground down below, there is enough snow for the Yamabiko A, C, D and E runs to open this morning... helped along by a reported 7cm of fresh snowfall up there since yesterday.

Webcam images look nice, too.

No sign of Naski (everyone's favourite bright green skiing vegetable mascot) yet, but being as gnarly as Naski is, I would not bet against an appearance!

Let's ski season.

We expect some clear weather over the next few days with a nice snowy cold front due by late on Wednesday.

Sounds like a plan.
