Hard to come down after the awesome day we experienced in Nozawa yesterday. People were rolling down the mountain with grins from ear to ear and powder falling out of every pocket. Stayed really cold along with the clear conditions as well.
Today is a bit overcast and just 1cm of fresh overnight up top. It should still be great conditions out on the slopes with powder stashes if you search a little. The cold temperatures will probably keep the groomers pretty fast. Down in the village the high temperature of the day will be around +1C.
More sun is expected tomorrow and freezing level shooting up to 2000m above sea level. Then Sunday night temps are cascading down and it is forecast to snow for 5 days straight, though likely it will rain before it turns into snow - lower down the mountain anyway. Hopefully snow from the go up top. Better clear the roof today...
