Morning from Nozawa. And it's a snowy one. I was going to post a report yesterday but with one thing and another - mostly the rain - I thought I would wait until today. Yes it was a wet one yesterday as in many parts of the region, but overnight it turned into snow and we have some down to village this morning and the slopes are looking all nice and white. Hurray!

Doesn't look like it will continue beyond today though with clearer and warmer conditions forecast for tomorrow and then the next snowfall around the weekend.

Nozawa Onsen ski area is hoping to open on 1st December.

Opening us usually just the upper slopes, and so we'll just have to see what the situation is in the next few days to see whether that might be able to happen or not.

I'll let you know.
