Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 8cm
Snowfall at base this season 374cm

Posted on Monday 27th January 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Happily, it turned into snow soon enough and we were left with a few new cm by the end of the day.

More snow overnight in Nozawa with around 10cm across the mountain, from base areas to top so there should be a nice new layer for those making up for first tracks this morning. I'm glad to report a return to colder conditions as well which is of course great.

The light snow early this morning is due to clear up leaving us with a mostly cloudy day maybe some sun. Tomorrow should start off sunny as well.

Back to a Monday weekday, so less busy once again.
