Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 457cm
Posted on Saturday 25th January 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
There has been some light snowing up on the top of the mountain. Uenotaira reporting 2cm.
Down around base areas, varying levels of 'dusting'. I'm going to be generous and add 1cm on this report.
Cloudy start and it might just be trying to snow. (Indeed, the ski area reports light snow up top).
What we really want, of course, is Nozawa-like large numbers. We might receive some snow tonight and around Wednesday is still looking promising.
