15cm of fresh snow.

You read correctly. 15cm of fresh snow up on the Yamabiko and Uenotaira slopes according to the resort, and we have even got a new coating of snow down at base and in the village as well. Perhaps no summer this year and clicking right into next season? Perhaps not. But it feel suitably cold this morning and it was a nice surprise to see snow down in the village.

I haven't been up there myself yet but I am sure it will be a very happy Sunday for people here today, especially early on. Doubt many people thought they'd be getting to ride fresh snow. Fairly poor visibility on the upper slopes of the resort as it continues to snow.

This coming week we are expecting it to start warming up again. It usually gets warm for Golden Week.
