Snowfall at base this season 707cm

Official numbers show Yamabiko reaching 4m of snow this morning.

Yes, this morning we have another good 20cm of snow here, with 30cm being reported from the Uenotaira area of the resort.

It has been snowing still early this morning but seems to be easing off and we're expecting just cloudy conditions in Nozawa this afternoon. For the moment though it's limited visibility out there even on the lower areas of the resort.

Sunny conditions likely tomorrow morning which should be popular as we aren't getting a huge amount of that this season so far. Complaining about snowfall is not allowed though, so we'll be hearing none of that!
