Lots of fresh snow since yesterday as the mid-winter cold conditions have returned.
As you can see from the numbers below, the ski area has reported over 70cm of snow on the top Yamabiko section since yesterday. My own measurement from base is less than what the ski area has posted, but more than the nearby JMA measurement point (which is at 30cm).
Whatever... there's lots. And some nice fluffy conditions to enjoy this morning, though limited visibility.
Snow is still expected to continue falling into the weekend.
Fresh snowfall since yesterday afternoon (as reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 22+53cm
Uenotaira: 8+26cm
Hikage: 14+45cm
Nagasaka: 14+45cm
Karasawa: ?+30cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 375cm
Uenotaira: 320cm
Hikage: 270cm
Nagasaka: 265cm
Karasawa: 190cm
Lifts:
All scheduled lifts are operating as planned
The Utopia pair lift and Challenge pair lift are normally closed on weekdays
Night skiing:
Scheduled for every Saturday until 22nd March 2025 on the Nagasaka area (and also on 23rd February 2025)
